Job Description:

Our client based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a locum Commercial Property Solicitor to join the team on a 3-6 month contract.
 
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, and the hourly rate is in the region of £50-60p/hour UMB, subject to PQE.
 
The ideal candidate will have strong experience of development and regeneration projects, and be able to attend office on an ad-hoc basis for project meetings.
 
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
  • Acting as a point of contact on a variety of cases from regeneration, community assets and planning team
  • Giving legal advice in the areas of commercial property matters, corporate, constitutional, and administrative matters to ensure compliance with statutory duties and obligations
  • Handling regeneration and development projects work, drafting development agreements, overages, conditional sale agreements, complex leases drafting for grade A commercial property around the city, license agreements, collateral warranties, and advising on gap funding agreements
  • Dealing with statutory school transfers and managing academy conversions
 
Experience required:
  • Strong commercial property law experience
  • Experience of handling regeneration and development projects
