£28,163 - £32,654 per annum

Job introduction

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated person with excellent organisational and admin skills to work as a Legal Support Officer/Paralegal in the Legal Services Housing and Litigation Team.

This is a friendly and very busy team supporting client departments across the Council. The role requires working at least 3/4 days in the office at Hove Town Hall with some flexibility to work from home on other days. The breadth and range of work is extensive, and you will also routinely work closely with other legal teams in legal services.

About the role
The successful candidate will need to be flexible and be able to undertake duties including general administrative duties and have experience of using office productivity tools such as word, Excel spread sheets and other database applications for time recording and case management. Utilising technology, including the use of AI, will be a central part of your role. 

Experience of working in a legal environment is an advantage but not essential.

Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

These would be part of your individual working arrangements alongside any personal preference agreed with your manager in advance of joining.
