£51,801 - £59,724 plus £5000 market supplement per annum

Are you a dedicated child protection lawyer looking to take the next step in your career? Do you want to use your legal expertise to make a real difference in children’s lives while gaining valuable leadership experience?

We are seeking a Senior Lawyer to join our Child Protection Legal Team, where you will handle complex and rewarding cases while supporting junior colleagues in a collaborative and supportive environment.

About the Role
As a Senior Lawyer, you will:
  • Manage a caseload of public law children matters, including care proceedings and pre-proceedings work
  • Provide high-quality legal advice to social care professionals on child protection issues
  • Attend client panels to provide high quality advice and drive cases forward
  • Supervise and mentor legal officers, offering guidance and support
  • Assist in managing workflows and improving legal processes within the team
About You
We are looking for someone who:
  • Is a qualified solicitor, barrister, or CILEX lawyer with experience in public child care law
  • Has significant experience handling complex child protection matters  
  • Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Can support and guide junior colleagues while managing their own caseload effectively
  • Can deputise for the Principal Lawyer when needed
