Job Description:

Sellick Partnership is seeking a skilled Commercial Property Legal Secretary to join a firm in Luton. The ideal candidate will have substantial secretarial experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce documents and correspondence as directed by lawyers
  • Supporting solicitors and partners with the day-to-day running of their files
  • Producing documents and correspondence using audio/copy typing
  • Efficient handling of telephone enquiries and calls
  • Provision of assistance to and dealing with tasks as delegated
  • File administration and data management
  • Attending to clients and others, both on the telephone and in person
  • Support as and when requested in firm-wide and departmental marketing events

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience as a legal secretary
  • Be able to demonstrate a courteous, helpful, and pleasant manner both in person and on the phone
  • Be a proficient typist, have knowledge of MS Word and case management systems
  • Be able to organise the workload to meet challenging/changing deadlines ensuring prioritisation of different work matters across the team
  • Be a good team player, with a willingness to offer support to others
  • Be enthusiastic, flexible, and efficient in a helpful and friendly manner when dealing with clients
  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to be a self-starter and work independently or within a team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and clear written and oral communication
