Job Description: We have fantastic opportunity to join a Local Authority in the North West as a Locum Property Lawyer. The client is looking for someone to work on a hybrid basis ideally, with one day a week in the office. The assignment will be an initial 3-6 months, and is very likely to extend on an ongoing basis long term.

Main Responsibilities:

• Advising on property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, and development agreements.
• Providing legal advice on land and property law, including landlord and tenant matters.
• Undertaking estate management work – licences to assign, licences to underlet, deeds of variations, leasehold reform act notices, sales and advice, short and long-term leases, deeds of easement, section 104 agreement, substation leases and general non-contentious property advice
• Working closely with council departments, developers, and external stakeholders to progress key projects.

Hourly Rate: £55 - £60ph Umbrella

This client is currently considering applications from Qualified Solicitors, Barristers or CILEx.

Recent Property Law experience within Local Government is essential as they need candidates that can hit the ground running.
