South East Local Authority | 6-Month Contract

A local authority in the South East is seeking an experienced Locum Deputy Principal Property Lawyer to join their legal team on an interim basis.

This is a newly created management role overseeing a mixed commercial and residential property function. The successful candidate will initially supervise a team consisting of one lawyer, one paralegal, and one locum solicitor.

Key Details

• 6-month locum contract
• Full-time hours
• £60-65 per hour 
• Hybrid working – attendance required once per week
• Start date flexible; authority can wait a few weeks for the right candidate

Requirements

• Extensive local government property law experience
• Strong background across commercial and residential property matters
• Previous team management/supervisory experience
• Ideally 15+ years PQE
