Locum Civil & Criminal Litigation Solicitor / Barrister

Vivid Resourcing are working in partnership with a well-regarded District Council in Hertfordshire to recruit an experienced Locum Civil & Criminal Litigation Solicitor / Barrister for an immediate start.

Role Overview

This is a 6-month locum contract offering the opportunity to join a supportive legal team handling a varied and engaging litigation caseload. This role can be worked fully remotely except for court attendance 2-3 times a month

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a mixed caseload of civil and criminal litigation matters on behalf of the council

• Conducting advocacy in court for a range of hearings and proceedings (2-3 times a month)

Qualifications / Skills & Experience

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales

• Proven experience handling civil and criminal litigation within a local authority setting or similar

• Strong court advocacy experience

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
