Locum Commercial Lawyer
Local Authority – South East

Vivid Resourcing are currently working in partnership with a well-established Local Authority in the South East who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Commercial Lawyer to support their legal services team on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive authority with a well-structured legal team, offering flexible working arrangements and a fully remote setup.

Role Details:

• Start: Within the next 2-3 weeks

• Caseload: You will manage a varied contracts & procurement caseload, including grant funding agreements, service level agreements and framework agreements

• Hours: 37 hours per week, with flexibility and openness to condensed hours

• Duration: Initial 4-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension due to ongoing workload

• Working Arrangement: Fully remote

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive

• Previous experience working within a Local Authority is highly desirable

• Comfortable managing a commercial caseload with minimal supervision

• Able to provide pragmatic, solution-focused advice in a fast-paced environment
