Location: Liverpool City Centre
As a Lawyer in Liverpool City Council, you will provide legal advice and representation in areas of law of relevance to the Council.
Within the role as a lawyer will have personal responsibility for a varied caseload, and act as a subject expert on regulatory and licensing matters including private sector housing to support the council’s selective licensing scheme, with appropriate support and supervision from a Senior Lawyer or Head of Law. You will provide advocacy in courts and tribunals and act as legal advisor to licensing and other council committees. We strongly encourage staff development, and you will have opportunity to experience other work within the team and wider service.
You will contribute to the supervision and development of Trainee Lawyers in the team and lead and develop Legal Assistants where required. The role of Lawyer reports to the Senior Lawyer for the discipline.
