Senior Electoral Services Officer

Locum rolling contract

Up to £50 per hour (umbrella)

Hybrid working arrangement

I am supporting our established London Borough client in finding a Senior Electoral Services Officer to join their friendly and supportive team on a locum basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electoral Services Officer to join a well-regarded Local Authority team on an initial 3-month contract with the view for extension. The role is offering a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days office attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Individual Electoral Registration procedures including Government portal for Absent votes and Voter Authority Certificates
  • Annual canvass process
  • Lawful conduct of elections and referenda
  • Absent voting arrangements
  • Boundary and Polling Station and Polling District reviews in accordance with legislation, statutory codes, and other guidance
  • Management of 2 electoral assistants
  • Excellent Project Management skills
