Legal Administrative Assistant - Local Authority - 6+ Months – South West - £15 per hour via umbrella – Full-timeVenn Group are currently assisting with a South West based Local Authority in their search for an enthusiastic Legal Administrative Assistant to support a bustling legal department.
This role offers the opportunity to gain fantastic, hands-on experience in a Local Authority on an initial
6-month basis (subject to extension thereafter). This is a
full-time position looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
Day to day duties include:
- Answering incoming calls and signposting to relevant department as necessary and taking notes and messages in relation to case files
- Managing department mailboxes
- Keeping Excel spreadsheets updated with court case statistics and financial information
- Filing and reorganizing shared drive folders and files
- Undertaking legal tasks as directed and under supervision, including assisting with court bundles, collating exhibits
- Processing finances on their accounting system
- Drafting letters and drafting court documents
- Ensuring all alpha-numeric data entry is carried out accurately and dealt with all administration including filing, faxing and indexing
- Assisting in the preparation of files for various orders and employment tribunals
This is an
in-person role, with mandatory office attendance and an hourly rate of
£15 per hour via umbrella.
Good interpersonal skills are essential as are ICT skills with usual Microsoft Office packages and the ability to be administratively self-sufficient.
