Litigation Lawyer (Housing & Prosecutions)

Rate: Umbrella, negotiable (Indicate rate sought)
30 hours per week
We are looking to recruit a locum specilaising in litigation with an ability to assist with other team matters with experience in housing and prosecutions would be desirable.
Length of the appointment is currently estimated at 2-3 months
- Undertaking a range of civil and criminal litigation on behalf of the Council (in the areas of employment, licensing, anti -social behaviour, housing/homelessness and contractual disputes) including advising on the nature of the proceedings, preparation, advice on evidence gathering and conducting advocacy through the Courts and Tribunals.
- Advising the Council officers and others (e.g. external clients) on all aspects of the law and legal processes relating to the above areas of law
- Liaising with and where necessary advising other agencies
