Sellick Partnership is pleased to be recruiting for a locum Civil Litigation and Debt Recovery Lawyer on behalf of a well-established London Local Authority.

The council is offering an initial 3 month contract but has said this is likely to be extended on a rolling basis pending permanent recruitment. This role is full-time, and the successful candidate will ideally be able to attend the office once per week.

This role will be the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to deal with a general civil litigation, defend claims against the council, bring claims on behalf of the council and also deal with adult social care debt recovery.

The successful Civil Litigation Lawyer role will manage a varied caseload, so experience of dealing with the following areas will be beneficial:

  • Adult social care debt
  • Parking disputes
  • High value assets management
  • Dispute resolution
  • Injunctions
  • ASB
  • Squatters, trespass

The successful candidate is required to be a fully qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx) and ideally from a Local Government background.
