Job Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Projects Lawyer (Contracts & Procurement) to join a reputable public sector organisation on a locum basis. The position will be for a minimum of 3 months, with a view to extend, and can be worked remotely.

The successful Projects Lawyer will be supporting the region's major projects through drafting and negotiating agreements, supporting with procurement, subsidy control and giving your expert commercial input.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting major projects (such as regen, housing, culture)
  • Drafting and negotiating agreements such as:
    • Funding agreements
    • Memorandums of understanding
    • Supply agreements
    • Supply services agreements
    • NEC possibly
  • Subsidy control
  • Supporting the public procurement & contracts team
  • Good knowledge of the new Procurement Act
  • Procurement frameworks
  • Commercial advice and input
