Job Description:

Locum Contracts and Procurement Lawyer – South Yorkshire Local Authority – Fully Remote – Full Time/Part-Time – Up to £60 per hour Umbrella

Start Date: ASAP, Immediate
Duration: 6 months (potential for extension)
Location: Fully remote, some occasional attendance would be ideal
Hours: Full time ideally, part-time applicants will be considered
Rate: Up to £60 per hour Umbrella

Venn Group is pleased to be working with a forward-thinking Council based in South Yorkshire to recruit an experienced Contracts and Procurement Lawyer for a key locum position.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on contract and procurement law matters within the organisation, providing expert legal advice and supporting the wider team.

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

Advising on procurement and contract law, including drafting and reviewing contracts.
Preparing and amending grant agreements and JCT contracts.
Advising on amendments to Contract Procedure Rules and commenting on reports.
Collaborating with the Procurement Officer and service leads to implement best practices.
Developing templates to promote consistent, high-quality contract management across the Council.
