Locum Litigation Generalist Lawyer, Hybrid Working – 3 months+ - up to £55 per hour Umbrella – Midlands

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Litigation Generalist Lawyer to join a lovely and supportive team in a Public Sector Organisation in the Midlands.

This assignment will be for an initial period of 3 months with a likelihood of an extension thereafter.
The ideal candidate would work part time/full time on a hybrid working basis.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and will have a broad working understanding of Criminal Prosecutions and Civil Litigation work to deal with a varied caseload.
 
Duties may include:

• To provide legal advice and representation in relation to a wide range of Local Government law and governance (subject to experience and relevant training) including but not limited to advice, interpretation, drafting and representation at court, hearings, tribunals and Council Committees, in areas including but not limited to, contracts, planning, regulatory, housing, property, the Council’s constitution and general local government law.
• To liaise with external Solicitors, Counsel, etc. who are acting on the Council's behalf in respect of legal issues, including the drafting of instructions.

 
An attractive hourly rate of up to £55 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position dependant on experience.
