Job Description:

6 month contract. Rate: Negotiable

Be able to attend the planning committee which is once per month in the evenings.

To provide an effective, efficient, comprehensive and professional in-house legal service to the Council

To ensure the execution of the Council’s legal work arising from decisions of the Council, its Committees and the day-to-day operation of its Services with particular emphasis on the Council’s functions as Planning Authority and Highways Authority.

To keep up to date with all relevant legislation and codes of practice and to comply with any continuing professional development
requirements.

To undertake such other legal duties given by the Head of Legal or the Senior Legal Property Team demonstrating political sensitivity at all times.
