Join us as a Solicitor in the Housing and Neighbourhood Nuisance Legal Team, providing essential legal support to Manchester and Salford Councils in respect of Housing Condition claims.

We offer our lawyers flexible start and finish times with an effective hybrid working-practice model.  There’s opportunity for development and variety thanks to the way our teams practise in our Lexcel-accredited and supported legal service.

About the Candidate
The successful candidates will manage a caseload of predominately pre and litigated Housing Condition claims. An excellent knowledge of the relevant Parts of the Civil Procedure Rules and law relating to repairing obligations is required.

The role involves considering claims, instructing experts, reviewing documents, advising on liability and quantum and drafting responses. An ability to meet deadlines is essential. This is a great opportunity to use key legal skills, including communication, drafting, research and negotiation skills.

You will work in a supportive and friendly environment and alongside the wider Housing Legal Team. We meet regularly as a team and one to one with managers.

Training plans are created and reviewed to encourage and support the development of staff.

You will have access to a case management system with excellent features to support organisation and efficient case progression.
