HB Public Law is one of the country’s leading local authority legal practices, with our main offices in Harrow. We are a Lexcel accredited practice and pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality service to several local authorities, schools and other public bodies.
We are currently recruiting Trainee Solicitors to undertake a 2-year period of recognised training (training contract) with us, commencing from Monday the 30th of June 2025.
The role will offer 2 years legal training and supervision at HBPL to those who have completed the LPC, to develop and apply the core knowledge and skills to practise as a qualified solicitor, including advocacy, client care and case management, dispute resolution, drafting, negotiating, research, interviewing and advising.
About youYou will spend 6-month periods in four specialist teams, ranging from property and contracts to planning, social care and litigation. Having your own caseload and assisting others, you will demonstrate the highest standards of client care and take responsibility for your own learning and development.
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals, who take pride in their work and would enjoy becoming part of one of the leading public sector legal teams in the country.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit a written test, on-line, week commencing the 10th of March 2025. If successful at the test stage a face-to-face interview will be arranged on a date between the 9th and the 14th of April 2025 (inclusive). We expect the successful candidates to be available to join the Legal Practice on the 30th of June 2025, from when a two-week induction programme will commence.
