£30,091 (FTE £50,152) - £32,775 (FTE £54,625) per annum

The Principal Solicitor (Property) will support the effective discharge of the Legal Services Team’s responsibilities by advising officers in any of the Council’s service areas on all aspects of property and property related issues within the local government administrative and legislative frameworks.

This will include the negotiation, drafting and completion of easements, licences and leases and it may also include negotiating and drafting transfers of land (both acquisitions and disposals).

The Legal Services Team is fundamental to the Council’s business, providing on-going support, advice and documentation on the organisation’s legal arrangements.

About you
We are looking for a specialist Property solicitor who is enthusiastic, pro-active, tenacious and has the ability to deliver workloads within tight timescales.

You will have good interpersonal skills and be a qualified Solicitor with property experience preferably within local government.

If you get excited about trying out new ideas and are always on the lookout for better ways of doing things, then you might be the team member that we are looking for.
