Job Description:

£47,040 - £59,328 per annum

We are looking for experienced childcare lawyers (solicitors, legal executives, barristers) to join our fact pace in-house childcare legal team. We are interested in those who wish to secure positive outcomes for children and young people, using their exceptional legal skills to provide expert legal advice to the Council.

You will be part of a team and as a Local Government Lawyer, you will need to be flexible and pragmatic, providing a proportionate and well rounded perspective. You can expect a varied and challenging caseload ranging from care proceedings, inquests, adoption, secure and DoLs applications. You will be directly supported by a Principal Solicitor, you will also have an opportunity to be part of an ongoing development programme to benefit both the clients and the in-house legal team.

You will have opportunities to get involved in council wide projects as well as those specific to legal services. You will also benefit from a career progression scheme providing for additional remuneration and an opportunity for further professional career development. 

Full time 36 Hours
