The candidate will be based at our Liverpool office.
 
As a Principal Associate you will manage a mixed caseload of employment work including:
  • Employment law advice to a wide range of clients, including unfair dismissal, disciplinary, grievances, whistleblowing, discrimination, detriment claims and equal pay.
  • Industrial relations advice
  • Dealing with employment tribunal claims
  • Assist other the supervision and management members of the team with their caseloads as appropriate
  • Draft and prepare documents, tribunal responses, bundles, witness statements and reports
  • Draft articles and legal updates
  • Assist with business development initiatives including training and networking
  • Produce monthly and ad-hoc client MI reports
  • Work in accordance with client and internal SLAs
  • Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values and procedures
  • Achieve set financial and chargeable targets

About You

  • 7 + YR Qualified Solicitor
  • Excellent team work skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Experience of managing and supervising junior fee earners
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and targets
  • Flexible approach
