Senior Planning Locum

We are seeking an experienced Planning Lawyer to support a local authority on a major and high-profile planning application. This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional with strong development management experience to contribute to a significant and complex project.

Key duties:

• Provide planning expertise and support on a major airport development application.
• Assist with preparation for and work relating to a public inquiry.
• Review planning matters, evidence and documentation associated with the application.
• Undertake general development management and planning work as required.
• Provide professional planning advice and support to the wider planning team.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in local authority planning and development management.
• Experience handling complex or major planning applications.
• Excellent analytical, report-writing and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

We are looking for a qualified solicitor, barrister or CILEX-qualified lawyer with litigation rights with extensive planning experience.

The client will consider both full and part-time hours alongside remote working.
