Ideal Candidate Requirements:- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Cilex with litigation rights
- Can demonstrate prior experience working on behalf of Local Authorities
Duties and responsibilities for this post may include:
- Managing a varied caseload of housing claims including disrepair, possessions, and homelessness
- Drafting pre-litigation letters of claim, pleadings, agreements, and other legal documentation
- Providing legal advice and guidance to officers, senior stakeholders, and client departments
- Negotiating settlements and progressing matters efficiently
- Preparing instructions for Counsel and liaising on complex housing litigation matters
- Advising on legal and procedural developments in housing law
