Locum Litigation Lawyer – 3 months + – Full time – Predominantly Remote Working – Up to £55 per hour Umbrella – East Midlands

Position: Locum Litigation Lawyer
Organisation: East Midlands based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months with the possibility of extension thereafter
Working Pattern: Full time
Working Arrangement: Predominantly Remote working (attend court when required)
Hourly Rate: Up to £55 per hour Umbrella

The ideal candidate will have at experience in handling Litigation matters in Local Authority.

Duties may include:

• Managing litigated cases relating to access injunctions, nuisance injunctions, closure orders (commercial and residential) including extensions, trespass, demoted tenancies, succession rights, notices relating to possession, possession proceedings (mandatory and discretionary grounds), hoarding, drafting of cabinet reports (property-related matters)
• Deal with all aspects of Housing Litigation law (including rent arrears, ASB, gas service access, disrepair, homelessness, injunctions (access and ASB), leasehold service charges, leasehold covenants)
• Deal with debt recovery and insolvency procedures, fundamentals of contract law, Housing Act 1985 and associated regulations, Civil Procedure Rules
