Democratic Services Manager

A well-known local authority in London is seeking to recruit an interim Democratic Services Manager to join them on a locum basis.

The Democratic Services Manager will join the London Council on an initial three-month contract, which will then be extended on a rolling basis. Office attendance is flexible. While hybrid working is preferred, remote applicants will still be considered.

The role will involve organising and attending a range of meetings and committees, including Cabinet and Planning Committee meetings, as well as leading on a variety of Democratic Services responsibilities within the team.

The position also includes line management responsibility for approximately seven Committee Officers. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have several years' experience in Democratic or Committee Services within local government.
