Locum Prosecutions Lawyer – 6 months + – Part Time – Predominantly Remote Working – Up to £65 per hour OUTSIDE IR35 – Midlands
Position: Locum Prosecutions Lawyer
Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority
Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension thereafter
Working Pattern: Part Time (2 days per week)
Working Arrangement: Predominantly Remote, with occasional Court attendance when required
Hourly Rate: Up to £65 per hour OUTSIDE IR35
The ideal candidate will have at experience in handling Regulatory and Litigation matters in Local Authority.

Duties may include:

• Providing legal advice, guidance, and practical assistance on a wide range of Criminal matters including Fly Tipping offences contrary to S33(1a and s34(1) an Environmental Protection Act 1990 and Education offences – Irregular School Attendance / Unauthorised Absences contrary to S444(1) Education Act 1996
• Handling Breach of Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) S210 (1) or 210(4) Town and Country Planning Act 1990, Health and Safety Offences contrary to S2(1) and S33(1)a
• Dealing with Health and Safety at work Act 1974, Non-Compliance with Enforcement Notices contrary to S179 Town and Country Planning Act 1990
