Locum Housing Disrepair Lawyer
Local Authority | South of England | Fully Remote
£60+ per hour | 3-Month Rolling Contract

I’m currently working with a well-regarded Local Authority in the South of England that is looking to bring in an experienced Locum Housing Disrepair Lawyer on an initial 3-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension on a rolling basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced local government lawyer looking for a fully remote position with a stable pipeline of work and a highly supportive legal team.

The role will involve:

• Managing a caseload of Housing Disrepair matters from initial instruction through to resolution
• Advising on pre-action protocol claims and litigation strategy
• Handling claims relating to property condition, repairs obligations and tenant disputes
• Working closely with internal housing teams and external stakeholders where required
• Providing pragmatic legal advice in relation to risk and case management

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience handling Housing Disrepair matters within a Local Authority
• Strong understanding of landlord and tenant law
• Experience managing litigated claims independently
• The ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
• Local government experience is highly desirable
