Commercial Property Locum

Sellick Partnership are recruiting an experienced commercial property lawyer to join one of our local authority clients.

The successful applicant would join a small and friendly in-house legal team. The initial duration of the contract would be for 6-9 months with scope for further extension.

The role would be to manage a varied caseload of commercial property transactions, including:

  • Grant of new leases or renewals
  • Grant of licences
  • Transfer of open space
  • Advice on encroachments
  • Advice on adverse possession
  • In house solicitor for the disposal of a development site
  • Title investigations
  • Land registry applications.
  • Advice on rent recovery options
  • Licences to assign, underlet and change of use
  • Mentoring paralegals

The client is ideally seeking office attendance once a fortnight.

We are ideally looking for a qualified lawyer with previous local government experience; however, candidates with relevant experience gained in the private sector are also encouraged to apply.
