Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer – 3 months + – Full Time/Part time – Remote Working – Up to £65 per hour Umbrella – Midlands Position: Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer
Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months with the possibility of extension thereafter
Working Pattern: Full or Part Time hours can be considered
Working Arrangement: Predominantly Remote, with occasional Court attendance when required
Hourly Rate: Up to £65 per hour Umbrella
The ideal candidate will have at experience in handling Regulatory and Litigation matters in Local Authority.
Duties may include:
- Providing legal counsel regarding needs assessments, eligibility, care planning, and the council's duties to meet eligible needs.
- complex cases involving vulnerable adults who lack capacity, making applications to the Court of Protection regarding residence, care, and medical treatment.
- Advising on the legal framework for protecting adults at risk of abuse or neglect, including managing Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) matters.
