Locum Property Lawyer – East Midlands – Part Time (30 hours a week) – Fully Remote Working – £55 per hour Umbrella Venn Group’s specialist Public Sector Legal team is currently recruiting for a Locum Property Lawyer to join a reputable Local Authority on an interim basis, offering an excellent opportunity to support a busy and established legal team.
Role Details:
Position: Locum Property Lawyer
Working Arrangement: Part Time (30 hours per week), fully remote working
Duration: Initial 3 month contract with the possibility for extension
Rate: £55 per hour Umbrella
Key Responsibilities:- Advising on a broad range of Property matters including Transfers, Sales and Purchases
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating Leases and Licences
- Providing legal advice to officers and stakeholders on complex property transactions
- Managing a varied caseload from instruction through to completion
- Supporting the wider legal team with general commercial and local authority property matters as required
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with relevant legislation and Local Authority procedures
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with experience in Property Law
- Previous experience working within Local Government or the Public Sector is highly desirable
- Strong experience handling a varied commercial and residential property caseload independently
