East of England | £60 per hour | ASAP Start

A local authority in the East of England is seeking an experienced Locum Civil & Criminal Litigation Lawyer to join their team on an urgent basis.

This is a varied role covering a mix of civil and criminal litigation matters, with the requirement to attend court infrequently as needed.

The role will involve:

• Managing a caseload of civil and criminal litigation matters
• Handling prosecutions, enforcement and regulatory work
• Advising client departments on a range of contentious matters
• Attending court when required (infrequent)

About you:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX
• Previous local authority experience is essential
• Strong background across both civil and criminal litigation
• Able to start at short notice
