Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Remote Working – Part Time– Initial 3 months+ – Up to £60 per hour umbrella

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the Midlands on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain further experience within an established Local Authority.

Role Details

Working Arrangement: Part-time, Remote working
Rate: Up to £60 per hour umbrella
Start: As soon as possible
Role Responsibilities:

• Providing legal advice on a variety of routine and complex commercial contracts matters for the Council to include Waste Contracts
• Prepare, draft, review, and negotiate contract documentation, including agreements for services, goods, and frameworks.
• Work closely with procurement teams to support procurement processes, provide legal input on strategy, risks, and tender documentation

 
Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with experience in Commercial and Procurement Law
• Experience within Local Government or the public sector is highly desirable

• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of Commercial matters
