Locum Planning & Highways Lawyer – Remote Working – Full-time or Part-time – Initial 3 months+ – Up to £55 per hour umbrella
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Planning & Highways Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the East Midlands on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to gain further experience within an established Local Authority.
Role Details
Working Arrangement: Full-time or part-time, remote working
Rate: Up to £55 per hour umbrella
Start: As soon as possible
Role Responsibilities:
• Drafting and progressing s106, deeds of variation, s38 and s278 agreements
• Undertaking legal research and providing advice on planning matters
• Drafting costs orders and preparing statements of grounds for appeals
• Attending planning appeals and liaising with Counsel and the Planning Inspectorate
Candidate Requirements:
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with experience in Planning and Highways Law
• Experience within Local Government or the public sector is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of planning matters
• Strong drafting and advocacy skills are advantageous
