Locum Principal Planning & Highways Lawyer – Remote Working – Initial 3+ months – Up to £67 per hour umbrella
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Principal Planning and Highways Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the East Midlands on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-regarded and supportive legal team.
Role Details
Working Arrangement: Full-time, remote working
Rate: Up to £67 per hour umbrella
Start: As soon as possible
Role Responsibilities:
• Managing a complex caseload of planning and highways matters
• Advising on s106, s278 and s38 agreements
• Providing expert legal advice on planning, biodiversity net gain and rights of way
• Handling planning judicial review matters
• Advising Planning Committee and senior Officers
• Supporting the management and supervision of the legal team
Candidate Requirements:
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (or equivalent) with significant experience in Planning and Highways Law
• Strong experience within Local Government is highly desirable
• Proven ability to manage complex planning matters independently
• Previous supervisory or management experience is advantageous
