Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Full Time – 4 to 6-month Contract - Hybrid Working- Up to £60 per hour (Umbrella)
 
Venn Group’s specialist Legal Team are recruiting for an experienced Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to support a well‑regarded public sector body on an initial 4 to 6 month assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial specialist with general commercial contracts and procurement expertise to join a well-regarded legal team.
 
Role Details

• Duration: Initial 4-6 months with extensions agreed thereafter
• Working Pattern: Full Time, remote working
• Onsite Requirement: Ideally one day per week, or occasional office presence (Tuesdays are team days)
• Rate: Up to £65 per hour (Umbrella)
• Start: April 2026

 
 
Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional and commercial advice to various Council departments and external clients on a range of routine and complex commercial contracts, procurement matters and other bespoke commercial arrangements
• Manage a caseload of commercial contracts and procurement matters of a complex nature, advise and prepare documents in relation to the supply of goods, services, and works.
• Draft and advise on bespoke and standard form documents including matters relating to construction, IT, engineering, social services, education and public health
• Ensure necessary compliance with Contract Standing Orders and the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 alongside other relevant legislation
