Locum Childcare Solicitor – Local Authority (Yorkshire)

A well-established Local Authority in Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Locum Childcare Solicitor to join their supportive legal team on an initial contract basis.

The Role

You will handle a busy and varied caseload of public law childcare matters, including:

• Conducting care proceedings and related applications

• Providing clear, timely legal advice to social care teams

• Attending court for weekly advocacy (in person)

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

• Local Authority childcare law experience (essential)
• Advocacy experience in the Family Court
• A solid understanding of the Children Act 1989 and public law proceedings
• Ability to work remotely with excellent communication and case-management skills
