Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer – 3 months + – Full Time – Up to £55 per hour Umbrella – Home Counties
 
Position: Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer
Organisation: Home Counties based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months + strong likelihood of extension agreed thereafter
Working Pattern: Full-Time or Part Time can be considered
Working Arrangement: Predominately remote working, occasional attendance for court  
Hourly Rate: Up to £55 per hour Umbrella
 
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and can demonstrate knowledge of Housing Litigation matters, with a focus on Disrepair matters.
 
Duties may include:

• Undertake all aspects of legal work relating to Housing Litigation: Disrepair, ASB, Possessions, and Homelessness
• Manage Housing Disrepair cases at all stages of Pre-Litigation/Litigation
• Ensure compliance with the Housing Disrepair Pre-Action Protocol
• Represent the Council in court and Conduct advocacy where appropriate
• Negotiate and draft complex and sensitive agreements and documents in the area of Housing Disrepair and provide clear case strategy on cases
• Assess evidence in relation to Housing disrepair matters and determine the likely prospects of success and the public interest in prosecuting matters
