Sellick Partnership are delighted to be recruiting for a Legal Services Manager and Principal Contracts Lawyer for a local authority in the East Midlands. The role will be until atleast March 2026, but with a strong likelihood of extension. 
The Legal Services Manager and Principal contracts lawyer post will involve:
- Supervision and day to day management of the legal team
- Providing case management support on complex cases 
- Assisting the monitoring officer and DMO with member related issues
- Attending meetings of Committees, sub-Committees and other meetings as required, including where appropriate in connection with disciplinary and grievance matters
- Negotiating agreements and contracts on behalf of the authority and contribute to the resolution of other strategic issues working with members and officers at all levels
- Holding a caseload of complex commercial contracts cases 
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with either previous management experience or someone looking to develop their skills further within a small and friendly local authority. Experience working within the public sector is desirable. 
This is a hybrid working role with office attendance required once a week.
