Job Description: We have a fantastic opportunity to join a Local Authority in the North as a Locum Commercial Contracts & Procurement Lawyer. This role is on a full-time basis, but part time candidates will be considered. The initial duration of the contract will be 3 months, with the likelihood of extension. Office attendance would be preferable however fully remote candidates can be considered.

Main Responsibilities:

• Advising on procurement and contract law, including drafting and reviewing contracts.
• Oversee and advise on complex procurement processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
• Provide legal support on Local Authority governance matters, ensuring compliance with the Authorities constitutional requirements for contracts.

 
Hourly Rate: £55-60ph Umbrella

Recent Commercial Contracts and Procurement experience is essential, as they need candidates that can hit the ground running. Candidates with recent Local Government experience is desired but not essential.
