Job Description:

Locum Planning and Highways Lawyer – Full Time (30 hours a week minimum) – Hybrid – 3-6 months + – North West

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are seeking a Locum Planning and Highways Lawyer to join a Local Authority on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional to immerse themselves in a well-established Local Authority, managing a varied caseload of Planning and Highways matters. The successful candidate may also be involved in some Housing work around Grant related funding.
 
  • Rate: £55 - £60ph umbrella
  • Working Arrangements: 30 - 36 hours a week, travel to office on Mon & Tues
  • Duration: Initial 3 months, very likely to be long-term

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal advice on planning, highways to the wider service
  • Advise on S106 agreements, S38 & S278 highway agreements, and related legal matters
  • Collaborating with council officers to support planning and highways projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies
 
The position offers a competitive rate based on experience, alongside a hybrid working arrangement, offering a great work-life balance. Committee attendance is not necessary.
