12 month fixed term contract

Sellick Partnership are excited to be working with a well-respected London Borough Council to recruit an Education Lawyer to join their Legal Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has some working knowledge of SEN and is looking to expand on their expertise, as our client is happy to look at varying levels of experience.

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Education Lawyer to join their friendly and supportive team. The ideal Education lawyer will have some experience of education law, in particular SEN matters. Our client is also open to considering newly qualified candidates who have undertaken some education work as part of their training contract.

The main duties of the role will include advising on education and SEN matters, holding a caseload of tribunal cases, drafting and submitting case responses. Our client is happy to consider Education Lawyers from local government, private practice, or other background, as long as they can demonstrate some working experience of Education Law. Experience of court work would be highly beneficial.

This successful Education Lawyer must be able to attend the office in London twice a week, and attend Court as and when required. Part time applicants will also be considered. Our client is happy to provide training and support.
