As a Solicitor for the East Midlands Police Legal Services you’ll be working with a dynamic team, working together at the forefront of public protection, making a vital contribution to the safety of the community.

Providing legal advice and representation, you will handle a caseload and work as part of a team of lawyers representing the police in the East Midlands in relation to all matters in which the Chief Constable is a party and/or is a stakeholder.

We offer full support and training to achieve your potential and develop your existing skillset to assist in an exciting and diverse area of work:

  • Work as part of a dedicated team of advocates in a uniquely varied, specialist legal role.
  • Regular Court advocacy to enhance and strengthen professional experience.
  • Contribute to shaping a vital and ever-growing role in protecting the public.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Regular Court based advocacy, mainly based in the regional Magistrates’ Courts.
  • Carry a legal case load providing advice and advocacy as required.
  • Provide legal advice at various levels within our client Police Forces as required.
