About the Role: Mid Sussex District Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Planning Solicitor to join our dynamic Legal Services team. This is a unique opportunity for a fully qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with a proven track record in planning law to make a significant impact on the lives of our residents and the future of our district.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal advice, representation, and assistance across the Council on all aspects of Town and Country Planning law and related areas.
  • Support Members and staff colleagues at public meetings and other forums as required.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Legal team’s Service Plan and the Council’s Corporate Plan.
  • Assist in the effective operational management of the Legal Services team to ensure a high-quality, cost-effective legal service.
