Interim Litigation Lawyer
£45-55 per hour umbrella
Part time (2-3 days per week)
3 months initial contract – with strong possibility of extension
Remote – with 2 court appearances monthly
Panoramic Associates is working with a local council based in the Northern Home Counties, to recruit a Locum Litigation Lawyer who will provide high-quality legal services in regulatory matters.
This role offers an excellent part-time opportunity, ideal for someone looking to balance other commitments or add extra hours to their current schedule. Working 2-3 days per week remotely (depending on workload), this position provides flexibility and a manageable commitment. The successful candidate will be required to attend court once every 2 weeks.
The contract is for an initial 3 months, with the potential for extension pending a permanent recruitment campaign.
The role will focus on Prosecutions and will pay a key role in advising on matters relating to:
- Health and Safety Prosecutions
- Environmental Law Prosecutions
- Breach of notices
- Licensing Prosecutions
- Planning Enforcement & Breach of town and country planning
Essential Experience:
- A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister, alternatively, non-qualified Lawyers with substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
- Previous experience working with a local authority
- Good practical knowledge of litigation law including both civil and regulatory/criminal law
- Experience undertaking advocacy would be desirable however, for a strong candidate unable to attend court, counsel could be instructed.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
