We currently have a great opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join the Children and Families Legal Team. This is a full-time position, supporting a team of Lawyers and Paralegals covering child protection work.
The work that you will be carrying out will be pivotal in having a real impact on the service. In return you will part of a legal team that actively encourages career development opportunities should that be something of interest or importance to you.
The successful postholder will be expected to:
- Be organised, flexible, work well under pressure & enjoy a challenge
- Assist the Team with time sensitive court matters (e.g. bundling)
- Assist with general correspondence (i.e. sending out letters via DocMail)
- Assist with invoicing process as well as opening files on our case management system
- Arrange meetings, make telephone calls to help with ICT queries etc.
- Be a point of contact with our Service Area clients
- Monitor the general inbox and allocate matters or queries to the relevant lawyers.
This role requires regular office attendance in Gloucester.
