We are currently partnering with a City Council in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Civil Litigation Solicitor to join their team on a locum basis for 3-months initially.
 
The role is for 35-hours per week, and offers remote working with attendance required for own Court hearings. The rate is in the region of £45 p/hour UMB.
 
Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Handling a mixed caseload of civil litigation matters and disputes, to include but not limited to commercial disputes, landlord and tenant disputes and debt recovery
• Advising the client group and key stakeholders at all levels on contentious issues
• Managing own caseload end to end, including preparing statements and pleadings, drafting own defenses, settling claims and handling attended Court hearings/own advocacy

 
Experience required:

• Broad experience of civil litigation

 
Working hours:

• 35 hours per week
• Monday – Friday
