Principal Planning Lawyer

Full-time or Part-time

Location: North West

Rate: £55 - 60 per hour (Interim/Umbrella)

Working: Remote

Our client, a Local Authority in the North West is seeking a Senior Planning Lawyer to join their Legal Services team on a locum basis.

This position can be offered on a hybrid or remote working basis. Whilst full-time hours are preferred, Planning Lawyers seeking part-time hours will be considered.

The position would be ideally suited to an experienced Planning Lawyer who is confident acting with minimal supervision, but you will still be well supported in your role.

Responsibilities of the Principal Planning Lawyer:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of complex, high profile and legal matters relating to a wide range of planning, highways and related regeneration work.

No advocacy required although the candidate may need to instruct Counsel on certain matters, e.g. planning appeals or Judicial Review
