Job Description:

I am working with a Buckinghamshire based housing association seeking a part time (25/28 per week) senior solicitor to join their team on a permanent basis.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted business partner, delivering expert legal services and guidance across the Group.
  • Manage an active caseload of contentious housing management matters, including possession action, disrepair and matters relating to property conditions , anti-social behaviour action and Property Litigation disputes
  • Dealing with non-contentious matters such as policy advice
  • Dealing with ad-hoc queries
  • Representing the client in Court and Tribunals as required.

 

Key skills and experience:

 

  • Proven expertise in housing management, anti-social behaviour , property litigation, including residential landlord/tenant law
  • Comprehensive knowledge of civil procedure rules, residential landlord and tenant law, and contract law
  • Strong networking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with an ability to communicate clearly across a wide variety of audiences
  • Experience managing relationships with senior leaders, producing high-quality written and verbal reports, and working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Experience supporting Boards and Committees, ideally in multiple sectors and/or within group structures
  • Knowledge of the social housing, charity/not-for-profit, or property sectors is advantageous
