Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer – London – Up To £50 Umbrella Per Hour – Hybrid
 
Position: Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer
Organisation: London based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months with the possibility for an extension
Working Pattern: Full time
Working Arrangement: 1 day per week office attendance
Hourly Rate: Up to £50 per hour (dependent upon experience)
 
Venn Group's specialist public sector legal team have collaborated with a London Local Authority currently in search of a skilled Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer to enhance their expanding team
The role of Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer is offered for an initial 3 month period with the potential for an extension based on performance and requirement. This position will allow you to play a pivotal role in handling housing litigation matters for the Local Authority
 
The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Legal Executive (FCILEx) with a proven track record of successfully managing Housing Litigation cases within the Local Government Sector
 
Duties shall include:
  1. Handling of Possessions: Facilitate the legal eviction process by meticulously adhering to prescribed legal procedures, including serving notices, initiating court applications, obtaining possession orders, and coordinating with bailiffs when necessary
  2. Sub-Letting Procedures: To manage and address challenges related to subletting within the context of tenancy agreements and ensuring compliance with restrictions
  3. Disrepair Litigation: Offer succinct legal counsel on various disrepair matters affecting residential properties. Oversee the entire lifecycle of disrepair cases, ensuring adherence to pertinent legal regulations
  4. Injunction Work: Housing injunction law, adept at providing expert advice, managing cases, and representing clients in court proceedings
  5. Judicial Review: Prepare and review legal documents related to housing law, maintaining accuracy and legal compliance
